Getting started 5 questions
First-visit basics: where to park, what to bring, which class to try first.
I've never done yoga before. Where should I start?#+
Start with Union Slow Flow or Gentle Mat Flow (both warm at 85°F), or Express 26 Hot Yoga (60 minutes, fully heated). All three are beginner-friendly, clearly cued, and every pose is optional.
Tell the teacher it's your first class — they will offer modifications and check in with you. Claim your $20 intro month and arrive 15 minutes early for a tour.
A yoga mat (rentals $2), a large towel (rentals $2), a water bottle, and comfortable fitted clothes you can sweat in. We provide showers, mat storage, filtered water, and complimentary palo santo. For heated classes, avoid cotton — technical fabrics wick sweat better.
15 minutes early for your first-ever class so we can give you a tour, set up your mat, and brief the teacher. 5 minutes early after that.
Our heated rooms close for latecomers once warm-up begins — this is a safety rule, not a preference.
Yes. Free dedicated lot directly in front of the studio at 4020 Powell Rd, Powell, OH 43065. Plenty of spaces at typical class times. Overflow parking is available at the adjacent retail strip.
Call or text (602) 750-9532 on your way. If you arrive after a heated class's warm-up has started (typically 5 minutes in), we cannot admit you for safety reasons. We'll reschedule you into the next class or refund/credit the booking.
The classes 4 questions
Our 11 styles, who each is for, and how to pick.
What are your 11 class styles and how are they different?#+
Hot — 105°F: 26 & 2 Hot Yoga (the original Bikram sequence, 90 min), Express 26 Hot Yoga (60 min), and Express 26 & Yin (60 min hot then 30 min yin as the heat comes down).
Hot — 95°F: Hot Union Flow (heated vinyasa), Hot Union Power (vigorous heated vinyasa), Hot Power Sculpt (weights + heated flow), Hot Classical Sculpt (beginner-friendly sculpt), and Barre (ballet-inspired isometric work, heated).
Warm — 85°F: Union Slow Flow, Gentle Mat Flow, and Yin.
Union Slow Flow and Gentle Mat Flow (both warm at 85°F) are the most accessible. Express 26 Hot Yoga (60 minutes, fully heated) is the best short introduction to our hot room because it's condensed and closely cued. 26 & 2 is also beginner-friendly because the sequence is the same every time — you learn it once and then it becomes familiar. Avoid Hot Union Power as a first class.
No. Flexibility and strength are outcomes of practice, not prerequisites. Our teachers modify every pose for every level, and you are welcome to rest in child's pose at any point. Every body. Any body. A better YOU at Union. That's not a slogan — that's how our mat goes on the floor.
Yes. All membership and class-pack options include every class style. Browse our live schedule and book directly — no "level" restrictions, no prerequisite classes.
The heat 3 questions
How hot, why hot, and what to do if you don't love it.
26 & 2 Hot Yoga, Express 26 Hot Yoga, and the first hour of Express 26 & Yin: 105°F with humidity. Hot Union Flow, Hot Union Power, Hot Power Sculpt, Hot Classical Sculpt, Barre: 95°F. Union Slow Flow, Gentle Mat Flow & Yin: 85°F (warm, not hot — the yin portion of Express 26 & Yin also settles here as the heat comes down).
Our heat is radiant (infrared panels), not blown — so air is cleaner, humidity is controlled, and the heat feels sun-like rather than oven-like.
Yes — we have three warm (85°F, not hot) classes (Union Slow Flow, Gentle Mat Flow, and Yin) and shorter heated options like Express 26 Hot Yoga (60 minutes). Many members who said they "hated heat" now prefer the hot rooms; others practice only the warm classes. Both paths are fully supported.
For most healthy adults, yes. Consult your doctor first if you are pregnant, have cardiovascular conditions, have heat-sensitivity conditions, are on certain medications, or have any acute injury.
In class: hydrate before and after, take breaks in child's pose whenever you need, and leave the room if you feel faint, nauseous, or dizzy. Teachers are trained to recognize heat illness and will check in.

Policies & logistics 4 questions
Guest passes, cancellations, pregnancy, injury. The practical stuff.
Active Unlimited YOU members get 2 guest passes per calendar month. Your guest must create a free Mariana Tek account, and you use your guest pass at checkout when booking their class. Unused guest passes do not roll over.
I booked a class but can't make it. What do I do?#+
Cancel at least 2 hours before class start in the app — no fee. Last-minute cancels or no-shows may result in a class deduction (for class-pack holders) or a $10 late-cancel fee after repeated offenses. We understand life happens — the policy kicks in with repeat patterns, not one emergency.
Please consult your OB first. Most pregnancies can safely practice yoga with modifications, particularly in our warm (85°F) classes (Union Slow Flow, Gentle Mat Flow, and Yin). Avoid the hot classes (especially 26 & 2, Express 26 variants, and Hot Union Power) unless cleared by your doctor. Tell your teacher before class — they will modify poses and keep an eye on you.
Probably yes, with modifications. Tell the teacher before class — they will adjust poses for you. For acute injuries (recent surgery, significant pain), get clearance from your doctor or physical therapist first. Yin, Union Slow Flow, and Gentle Mat Flow are often recommended for injury recovery; Hot Power Sculpt and Hot Union Power are not.

Two showers with filtered water, private changing areas, mat storage cubbies (members free), filtered drinking water, a small retail nook with mats and towels for sale, complimentary palo santo, and a quiet lobby for post-class decompression. We deliberately kept the space clean and minimal — no loud music, no sales pitch.
Yes, two showers with filtered water, towels available for $2 rental, and private changing spaces. They're popular after heated classes — showering rotates quickly; don't linger if there's a line.
